Search and Cluster the Web
View clustered results from several search engines with the Clusty Firefox Toolbar. Simply enter your search terms in the text box and hit the Enter key or click the Search button. You can also try these convenient shortcuts:
- Recent Searches: Repeat a recent search by clicking the down arrow to the right of the search box. This shows a list of your most recent queries; click one to repeat the search.
- Drag-and-Drop Search: Perform searches by selecting some text on a web page and then dragging and dropping that text into the toolbar search box. The query will be performed automatically.
- Context Search: Select some text on a web page, right click on that selection, then select one of several options like web+ and encyclopedia from the pop-up menu to automatically run a context search on that word or phrase.
ClustyClips
For an un-interrupted and convenient user experience, ClustyClips offers you an encyclopedia or dictionary lookup without taking you away from your current webpage. Simply right-click on any word or phrase on the page and choose one of the options with the ClustyClip icon
. Relevant info will appear in a frame on your current webpage!

The Encyclopedia Clips, from our index of the Wikipedia, provide general-purpose knowledge about a highlighted name, object, or concept.

The Dictionary Clips provide word definitions from WordNet. In addition to using right-click for the Dictionary Clip you can also hold down Control and double click on the word.

Mini-Mode

We respect users' desire to maximize available screen space. In Mini-Mode, the Clusty Toolbar collapses into the Firefox search area and uses queries from the Firefox search box, occupying no additional toolbar space.
Click the Mini-Mode button to instantly collapse the toolbar into Mini-Mode.
To restore the full toolbar, click the Full-Mode button.
- Alternatively, you can hold Control or Shift while pressing Enter to select Clusty as your search source.
Query Catcher
If you complete a search on sites such as Yahoo!, Google, MSN, WiseNut, Teoma, AltaVista, and others, the Clusty toolbar will automatically detect your query and insert the same terms into the toolbar search box. If you can't find what you're looking for in the long ranked list of results returned by these conventional search engines, simply click the Search button in the Clusty Toolbar!
Standard Features & Preferences
The toolbar's basic operations behave like our Clusty Toolbar for Internet Explorer, bringing a familiar interface to Mozilla Firefox:
